Quality Engineer (relocation to Uganda)

Our company operates internationally, managing key engineering and manufacturing projects. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to develop and implement quality systems for our operations in Uganda.

To set up Quality system for new products and serial life (Process work-flow, internal company procedures/standards)

Main responsibilities:

- analyze customer requirements and development all necessary Quality and Production documents from 0 at start of production (Quality/Work Standards and Instructions, Acceptable quality level);

- continuously improvement and development of control methods;

- manage quality team (quality inspectors);

- organize quality control (incoming, process, final) for new and serial products;

- development of product testing methods (mechanical tests of strength, reliability, corrosion resistance tests) using standard and developed methods; perform such tests if necessary;

- analysis of test results, develop and apply countermeasures;

- prepare reports and recommendations for improving product quality.

Key Requirements:

- english at least B2; (Russian - native as well);

- knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO/IATF) + Lean Production+ Kaizen + Problem solving (Ishikawa);

- analytical way of thinking;

- knowledge and understanding of Russian and International Quality and Technical standards;

- higher technical education in fields such as materials science and technology, machine parts and components design, mechanical engineering technology, process engineering, or quality systems engineering;

- experience in developing technological or quality system documentation (e.g., work instructions, product requirements, quality instructions, technical specifications) with at least 3 years of relevant work experience;

- basic knowledge of production technologies, including: injection moulding of metals/plastics (as an advantage), metal stamping and bending, mechanical metal processing, welding, painting and coating, conveyor assembly, and product packaging;

- knowledge of metrology;

- knowledge of the production & quality management system;

- experience in development and design production lay-out (assembly, stamping, powertrain);

- PC – experienced user with knowledge of CAD programs (e.g., SolidWorks).
